- The idea behind this project is revolutionary. In July 2020 the first Flabelus were born, transforming the classic Spanish espadrilles into year-round shoes. Each Flabelus is carefully sewn in Spain and lovingly constructed by their expert craftsmen in the centuries-old certified espadrille technique. Flabelus changed the
- materials and design but kept the structure and construction of the espadrille.
- They are no longer espadrilles, but something else: they are Flabelus. Flabelus combines the best of two worlds: the impeccable design of timeless footwear and the strength, comfort and quality of centuries-old Spanish techniques: those used to make espadrilles.
